Turmeric, Ginger, Chia, Carrot Smoothie
This smoothie is all about health! There is nothing bad about this smoothie and I hope you take the time to make yourself one, two or three! This is a fast way to get wonderful nutrients in.
You can even freeze any leftovers and make popsicles out of them. I loved this smoothie while pregnant (ginger great for morning sickness) and post pregnancy- even my hubby loves it for its healing properties.
Did you know, turmeric may be the most effective nutritional supplement in existence. Many high quality studies show that it has major benefits for your body and brain.
Ground Ginger or fresh grated
4 Organic Carrots (I like the tri-color ones at TJ’s)
2 Organic Oranges
1 Organic Meyer Lemon (sweeter)
Handful of Frozen Organic Mango
2 Spoonfuls of Organic Chia seeds (TJ’s now has them and organic)
Put all ingredients into blender, I love my Vitamix, but any high speed good quality blender will do. I add to the ingredients water and ice to help make it come together and be the ideal smoothie texture. If you omit the ice it’s also a lovely juice and can keep longer in the fridge in that form.
